What is ADHD parent coaching?

ADHD parent coaching is a specialised, action-oriented partnership designed to bridge the gap between a clinical diagnosis and the daily reality of neurodivergent family life. It focuses on developing practical executive function strategies while regulating the parental nervous system to create a calm, sustainable home environment.

At Spiral Hub, we view this process through the lens of Neuroenergetics. Traditional parenting advice often fails because it addresses behaviour without accounting for the energetic cost of neurodivergence. You may have done everything expected of you—showed up, provided, and pushed through—yet felt a quiet tension in your chest that you couldn't quite explain. This is the result of "masking": building a persona that performs well and keeps things functioning, while losing the ability to feel like yourself.

Our coaching framework focuses on three core pillars:

When you stop trying to "fix" the ADHD and start understanding the energy behind it, the dynamic shifts. As one father of three shared: "I used to snap, shut down, or escape. Now my kids run to me. I'm not fixing everything — I'm feeling everything. That changed the game." ADHD parent coaching isn't about becoming a perfect parent; it is about closing the gap between the mask you wear and the person your family needs you to be.
